Square Enix reveals an upgraded version of SideQuesting’s GOTY 2020
During today’s State of Play, Sony and Square Enix revealed an upgraded version of Final Fantasy VII Remake coming to the PlayStation 5.
Subtitled “Intergrade” the new version of the game will improve visuals, upgrading lighting, textures, backgrounds, characters and more. The game will now even allow the capability to switch between a “Graphics Mode” in which 4K visuals are prioritized, and a “Performance Mode” where 60fps runs buttery smooth.
New features include a customizable photo mode and DualSense haptic features, updates go difficulty settings, and optimized loading times.
The upgraded game also features a brand new chapter, featuring fan favorite ninja Yuffie Kisaragi as she tries to infiltrate Shinra. The chapter will include new characters to fight alongside, as well as new enemies.
The visual/performance upgrade will be free for those who already own a copy of Final Fantasy VII Remake on the PS4 and want to switch to PS5, but the Yuffie chapter will be an extra charge.
Final Fantasy VII Remake: Intergrade arrives on June 10, 2021 for PS4 & PS5.
