Isaac? Isaaaaaaaaaaaac!
Metal Gear Solid may have its lead. Deadline is reporting that Oscar Isaac has been tapped to take on the role of Solid Snake in Jordan Vogt-Roberts’ film adaptation of the Konami game series. The film, produced by Avi Arad and written by Derek Connolly, is likely to begin pre-production soon, if Isaac’s name is being attached to it. Usually we don’t get an actor announcement or confirmation until a film is heading into production, so this might finally be the first real move into that realm.
Isaac, who played Poe Dameron in the latest Star Wars films, is no stranger to the worlds of sci fi and action, and actually called out Solid Snake as one of his dream roles way back in March of 2019.
The Metal Gear Solid movie doesn’t have a release date yet.
