Remaster Chief
343 Industries and Microsoft have announced that Halo Infinite, its big Xbox Series/current gen game, has been delayed to the non-locked down “Fall 2021.” Much like what we all knew, the game was heading towards a big retooling and even more fine-tuning after an, uh, less than satisfactory showing earlier this year.
This is the second delay for the game, which was initially a launch title for the Xbox Series before being pushed back into Spring. Now, the dev team will work on better lighting, materials, and, quite frankly, an almost completed updated visual style that falls more in line with what people were perhaps expecting.
The post goes on to talk a lot about how the free-to-play aspect of the game will function, from the layers of gear coating that free players can access to the premium purchasable “cosmetic” content.
There’s going to be a long wait to get back into the Haloverse, friends.
