Microsoft makes their pricing official
After daily leaks and teases, Microsoft has finally given us the release date and pricing for the Xbox Series X: November 10, 2020 at $499. The console will match the Xbox One’s launch price in 2013, though this time will also be available in an easier to swallow $34.99/month format should prospective owners wish to go that route too.
The news came via a blog post on Microsoft’s Xbox Wire, just a day after the company’s hand was tipped for the Series S iteration of the console. It’s been a long time coming for the device, which was initially announced in E3 2019 and Christened the Series X name and Industrial Design at the Game Awards, but we’ve made it to the finish line — at least for information. First party games? Well, that’s going to be a while.
Pre-orders for the Series X go live on September 22 worldwide.
