tinyDino Games and Quantum Astrophysicists Guild have dropped a release date for their upcoming game, The Ambassador: Fractured Timelines.
I wasn’t at PAX East this year, so I missed out on seeing the indie game up close early on, but from what the trailer above (and several GIFs) are showing, it looks like it’s got a joyfully bonkers vibe to it. Ambassador is a twin-stick medieval shooter, putting players in the shoes of newly minted member of a guild that also becomes its sole member as the guild is immediately destroyed. Now, this guild’s “ambassador” is on a quest to find out who caused the nefarious act.
The game is played from an overhead perspective, and players control their character and the weapons using dual sticks, aiming swords, magic, spears and more at enemies and traps. Players can even stop time, allowing for some inventive problem-solving. It seems chaotic, in that welcome way.
The Ambassador: Fractured Timelines drops on Switch, Xbox and Steam on August 13.
