With the original Sonic the Hedgehog movie actually being enjoyable enough to net it more money than any other gaming movie out there, it was apparent that we were going to get a sequel. Now, we have a firm(ish) date for that.
Ben Schwartz, who voices Sonic in the film, took to Twitter to announce the date.
April 8 is just under 2 years away, which *should* be enough time to produce the film — which ended on a post-credit cliffhanger, because that’s what all movies do now. Unless, of course, this whole COVID thing doesn’t go away.
It’s still too early to pre-purchase tickets, by the way. Not that you have any theater to buy them from.
