Shadow Man Remastered debuts new trailer

Shadow Man Remastered debuts new trailer

Coming to PC, PS4, Xbox One and PC

During this weekend’s PC Gaming Show, Nightdive Studios revealed an updated teaser trailer for its Shadow Man Remastered project.

The video shares a look at some of the higher resolution visuals in the game, using the original as its core. The remaster doesn’t go as far as a full remake, obviously, but will bring the game to modern platforms for the first time.

Shadow Man was initially released by Acclaim in 1999, and is based on the Valiant comic book by the same name.

Here are some of the updates, per Nightdive:

  • 4k support
  • Updated gameplay and enhancements
  • Clustered-forward shading, dynamic shadow maps, general post-process effects (antialiasing, motion blur), ambient occlusion
  • Restored lost content
  • Tweaked/improved AI

For some of us, Shadow Man was an interesting take on a game, as it brought a lesser-known comic series to the forefront. It resulted in a wave of fans coming to Valiant to check out it and other comics series. I’m still waiting for a new X-O Manowar game.

There’s no release date announced yet.
