New Pokémon Snap announced for Nintendo Switch

The Pokémon Company and Nintendo have announced New Pokémon Snap, coming exclusively to the Nintendo Switch, during their Not-E3 event today. The original Pokémon Snap for Nintendo 64 was a cult favorite, and a classic, that pushed photography in games to a new level. The new game looks to continue the same theme of the predecessor: take photos of Pokémon.

New Pokémon Snap takes place on an island where the creatures are having fun, frolicking, and living their best life… until we come along and start disrupting the natural way of things and take unassuming photos of them. The game will have us exploring deserts, jungles, beaches, oceans and more as we capture the essence of the ‘Mon.

The game is still being developed, and doesn’t have a release date yet, but it’s “coming soon.”
