A rhythm FPS from hell
During IGN’s Summer of Gaming, Funcom and The Outsiders revealed their new game. Metal: Hellsinger is a genre-bending rhythm FPS, mixing shooting and music while players rack up high scores with successive shots, affecting the music in the process.

Players take on the mantle of The Unknown, a human/demon hybrid that must travel through hell on a mission to destroy the Devil itself. The game has a full single-player experience as well as a challenge mode that adds high score leaderboards or challenges between friends.

The game is narrated by Troy Baker, with a soundtrack that features Matt Heafy (Trivium), Mikael Stanne (Dark Tranquillity), Björn Strid (Soilwork), and Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy).
Metal: Hellsinger is due for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X in 2021. Images & video courtesy Funcom & The Outsiders.
