Just when you thought it was safe to head back into the tomb
The Mortal Kombat series has become known for not only its intense fights, but also its well-developed and arranged plots. We’re not saying they’re actually GREAT stories, just that they manage to work, and work well, to keep players engaged as they behead opponents. Even though the plots to the games have been big, they’ve never been so big that they require a separate expansion. Well, that’s just what we’re getting.
Netherrealm have revealed Aftermath, a big chunk of DLC for Mortal Kombat 11 that introduces three new characters, an entirely new story, and plenty of skins. The DLC will retail for $40. It can be likened to a pseudo-sequel to the game, as it is big enough to carry its own plot but still relies on the base game to function. And, RoboCop is in it.
Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath arrives May 26 for all platforms, and will launch alongside a free update that includes the return of Friendships and stage fatalities.
