No rushin’ to get onto other platforms, though
Activision Blizzard has been very busy. In just a few months time, we received a brand new Modern Warfare game, an immensely popular mobile game, a plethora of substantial Black Ops IV updates, and Call of Duty Warzone. Now we’re getting yet another Call of Duty game to sink our teeth into.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered is the upgraded version of the sequel to the original Modern Warfare, which received its own remaster as a launch day prize for owners of Infinite Warfare back in 2016. It’s highly memorable for its controversial take on players being embedded in a Russian terrorism cell before finally taking down the enemies from the inside out. With multiplayer already popular in the other four games that are currently running in the West, it’s probably best that Activision Blizzard just focuses on this remaster as a standalone campaign product.
Coincidentally, the game is exclusive to the PS4 for the next month, until April 30th, after which it will launch on Xbox One and PC. Or, right around the time we plan on hearing about the actual next Call of Duty game that will be arriving closer to the holiday season.
Whew!
