An SSD for you and me
We now have the technical backbone for Sony’s upcoming PS5. What was supposed to be a GDC 2020 talk, until COVID-19, turned into a streamed presentation that was heavy (VERY HEAVY) on numbers. It wasn’t an exciting presentation by any means — but then again it wasn’t meant to be — but it did reveal a lot about what will power the upcoming console.
To most, these numbers will be dizzying. raw power doesn’t necessarily equate to quality games or high sales, but it does open immense possibilities to developers. But, without any first party games announced, we’ll be waiting a while to actually see this power in action.
