Just in time for the next generation
In a big move for baseball games, the once-exclusive MLB The Show series will be going multiplatform in 2021.
Originally an exclusive for the PlayStation family of consoles and handhelds, MLB The Show has been the premiere baseball game for years now. Developed by Sony’s San Diego Studio, it now looks as though the series will become accessible to more players when the next generation of consoles hits. The PR above notes “additional console platforms” beyond Sony’s, so that likely means Microsoft’s Project Scarlett (likely two consoles on its own) and Nintendo’s Switch, seemingly confirmed by the Big Red company via Tweet.
