Phil Spencer is already whooping your ass in Halo on a Scarlett

And you don’t even realize it

Xbox’s top dawg Phil Spencer is out there bragging like a mofo. The homeboy *already* has a Project Scarlett console, and he’s even brought it home!

And it’s started….this week I brought my Project Scarlett console home and it's become my primary console, playing my games, connecting to the community and yes, using my Elite Series 2 controller, having a blast. Great work by the team, 2020 is going to be an incredible year.

Intriguingly, Spencer’s tweet highlights that the next Xbox will indeed be backwards compatible (at least the early builds) with both game libraries and even controllers. There’s still a year to go before the console launches, and plenty of final design work to do, but at least now we know that there’s definitely a finish line in sight.

And that Phil has us in the sights of his Call of Duty guns.
