Put your seatbacks in an upright position, and prepare for takeoff
AMC has decided to get into the games business in a big, 747-sized way. Well, maybe it’s more like a 787. Either way, it’s a plane, and they’ve developed a game about being in one.
Airplane Mode made its debut recently during charity game drive Desert Bus for Hope. The game is a simulation of being on a 6-hour flight, essentially across the US, and every wonderful thing that happens within it. That includes such amazing things as take-off, food service, and landing! Included for wow factor are crappy in-flight entertainment, spotty wifi, and even a special pre-takeoff film developed by AMC’s indie channel, IFC.
The “game” arrives in 2020 for PC/Steam, and I never knew how much I wanted to experience a boring game until now.
