Fourth time’s the charm
The original Xenoblade Chronicles has been made available for yet another Nintendo gaming device. During today’s Direct, Nintendo revealed Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition for the Nintendo Switch, which follows Xenoblade Chronicles 3D for the New 3DS, which follows Xenoblade Chronicles for the Wii U eShop, which follows Xenoblade Chronicles for the Nintendo Wii.
Nintendo and Monolith Soft really, really seem to want you to play the game, although we would have rather had the little-played Xenoblade Chronicles X arrive instead. No worries, as Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition will include revamped visuals and audio, as well as new content that was seemingly cut from the initial game.
Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition arrives in 2020 for the Nintendo Switch, and probably in 2027 for the next Nintendo console.
