A console of heroes gets a few more
Blizzard and Nintendo have finally revealed what had been rumored for so long: Overwatch is coming to the Switch. The news kicked off Nintendo’s latest Direct, which took place earlier today, though it was virtually leaked ahead of time thanks to an inadvertent listing of an Overwatch-branded Nintendo Switch travel case on Amazon.
No worries, though. It was still a bit of a surprise.
The popular game will arrive on the Switch as download-only on October 15, even at retail, but preordering it ahead of time via the eShop nets players a Widowmaker Noire Skin. Buying the game before December 31 will also give players a free Golden Loot Box with at least 1 guaranteed Legendary item.
The Legendary Edition includes:
- Redeemable code for Nintendo Switch Online Individual Membership 3-month subscription
- The full game
- 5 Legendary Hero Skins
- 5 Epic Hero Skins
- 5 Origin Hero Skins
