Dave Bautista officially joins Gears of War as Marcus Fenix

Dave “Batista” Bautista, the popular wrestler-turned-actor who starred as Drax the Destroyer in Marvels Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers films, will finally be donning the armor of one Marcus Fenix.

Bautista has wanted to play Marcus in the Gears of War movie (whenever it’s made) for years, but will have to settle for this: an official skin for the character during multiplayer matches. The news was announced by the actor on his Twitter page (see above) and confirmed by Microsoft on the Xbox blog. The skin becomes available on September 15th immediately after the WWE’s Clash of Champions pay-per-view event until October 28.
