A torrent of fantastic nerd information
Disney took to its D23 opening day stage today to reveal a whole slew of information about new and unannounced titles for its Disney+ streaming service. Spread across its Disney, Marvel, Pixar and Star Wars properties, the company revealed enough information to basically prevent humanity from avoiding a subscription to its Disney+ service.
Marvel and Kevin Feige revealed they will be bringing three more series tied to the MCU: Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel, and She Hulk. These will join previously announced titles like Loki and Wandavision. With Marvel’s MCU kicking off its Phase 4 next year, these will likely tie into that (at some point). No launch dates were revealed.
Also coming to Disney+: Ewan MacGregor will reprise his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in a live action Star Wars series based on the character that takes place 8 years after Episode III. And, Clone Wars (the animated show) will be arriving on the service in February 2020 with a brand new and final season.
Finally, a live action (?) Lady and the Tramp film will be released exclusively to Disney+ on the service’s launch. Here’s an actual trailer for it!
