An oops becomes confirmed
Listen, we’re not one to judge, but it does seem pretty perfect that a game about digital hacking and social engineering became inadvertently announced when an Amazon employee accidentally hit “ENTER” too early.
Whoops!
That’s okay. It’s happened before (thanks, Walmart Hack 2018!) and it’ll happen again. What matters is how a company owns a whoopsie. Ubisoft is owning the whoopsie by flat out announcing the game that was leaked.
Watch Dogs Legion is the next game in the series, and the first to not be numbered. The inadvertent leak noted that the game takes place in London, and that players will be able to control essentially any NPC they come across as a part of the in-game canon. Beyond that, not much is known.
But, with E3 next week, we’re sure to find out more.
