VR long shots
FPS games and virtual reality seem like they would be perfect together, but thus far the results have been hit or miss. The reasons can be across the board, but tend to fall on controls and lack of reality as the major roadblocks.
Rebellion Games wants to rectify that with their latest iteration of Sniper Elite. Featuring the series signature shooting mechanic and featuring a story by writer Tony Schumacher, Sniper Elite VR will take place in WW2-era Italy, before the events of SE4. Set across
Sticking to the controls side of things, the game can be played using the PlayStation Aim controller (on the PSVR version), which should make things even more baked in reality, and allow for free-range movement and stealth, and — as the devs want to emphasize — will not be an on-rails game.
