Hitting the track with wheels of fire
Apparently, in just 10 years we’re all going to be playing competitive roller derby. MOVE OVER NFL. HIT THE LOCKER ROOM, NBA. Well, maybe not. But Ubisoft’s new game Roller Champions sure makes a valiant effort to prove that it might.
The game is a mix of rollerskating and basketball, where teams race around a court/track at speeds of up to 100 miles per hour to dunk on the opposition. Roller Champions will let players create a character, advancing from lowly street ball all the way up through the ranks to the highest leagues on the planet.
Players will tackle, score, race and crash into each other as they try to beat their opponents, gain sponsorships, and build their careers.
Roller Champions arrives for PS4, Switch, Xbox One and PC in 2020 as a free-to-play game.
