Time to GO outside again
Hot on the heels of Pokemon GO — well, a few years off, anyways — comes Dragon Quest Walk. SquareEnix have announced the new mobile game (coming to iOS and Android) as a way to have Dragon Quest adventures in the real world. And, beyond just catching monsters, they might be on to something.
The game will not only have beasts in the wild, augmented over maps and landmarks, but it will also have villagers and NPCs to speak to and equipment to upgrade. In fact, customization will be a big part of the experience, as players will have their own “room” to manage and update to their liking.
Dragon Quest Walk is due 2019 in Japan, with a closed beta starting this Summer.
