More paths to octo.
We loved the classically-themed single player JRPG Octopath Traveler when it debuted on the Switch in 2018, from its intriguing art style to its fascinating method of mixing stories and characters. While we just got the game in July, we’re already starved for a sequel.
SquareEnix has heard our cry and given us… a mobile game.
The company has announced Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent for mobile devices, set to be released in 2019 in Japan. The prequel will follow the same art and game mechanics of the Switch game, remaining a single player experience. It’ll be free-to-play, too, so if you’re not sold on the touch screen variation then you can stop before you get too deep into your wallet.
