Direct to you!
In the span of a couple of minutes (seconds?), both Sony and Microsoft announced Nintendo Direct style stream presentations coming next week. Nintendo has mastered getting information to its fans over the years in the form of video streams announcing game details (and even game consoles). In fact, just over the last few weeks, Nintendo has hosted three Directs (Switch-focused, Pokemon and Nindies). Now it looks like its competitors are trying to do the same kind of outreach to fans.
On Monday, Sony will hold their first State of Play presentation. Taking place at 2PM PST/5PM EST, the stream will showcase new and upcoming games for PS4 and PSVR. This seems like a full initiative for Sony, who will forego E3 this year, as they’ve announced that this will be the first of many of such streams.

Not to be outdone, Microsoft will be holding its own event, the ID@Xbox Game Pass showcase featuring previously and newly announced indie games that are coming to the Game Pass service. The video will even highlight Afterparty and its developer Night School Studio. The stream takes place on March 26 at 9AM PST/ 12PM EST.
