Cuphead comes to Switch with Xbox Live integration

Nintendo finally gets cheevos (maybe).

The House of Mario held yet another Direct today, this time focusing on the upcoming indies coming to the Switch. The headline of the presentation was undoubtedly the reveal of Cuphead, the Studio MDHR developed 2D action game. The Dark Souls of sidescrollers is published by Microsoft on the PC and Xbox One, but the devs will handle publishing on the Switch.

The game will bring singleplayer and local co-op to the platform, as well as a future update that will include even more features. Studio MDHR also noted that it is working closely with Microsoft to bring other Xbox Live features to this latest version, and hopes to reveal more at a later date.

Cuphead arrives on Switch in digital format on April 18, with a physical launch later.
