The Octo Expansion, a brand new single player mode for the game, centers on a mysterious Agent 8 as she makes her way out of an underground facility. The mode will also add playable Octoling characters for the first time. The publisher revealed the news at the end of its Splatoon 2 World Championships at E3 2018, and further announced that support for the game would continue through the end of the year, including new weapons, stages and updates.
Finally, Octolings would be coming to the game in amiibo form as well, the company revealed, along with an octopus amiibo in a three-pack. They’re slated for launch later this year.
