European soccer is magic, and now EA has announced that it has acquired even more of it.
During EA Play, the company revealed that it has signed contracts to include the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, and Super Cup licenses for FIFA, beginning with FIFA 19. The Champions League trophy is arguably the biggest prize in the sport next to the World Cup, as it pits the champions of the respective countries against each other. The licenses will be featured woven into the game’s modes as opposed to separately, though, so don’t plan on just pitting champ v champ in a tournament for a while.
EA announced that The Journey will return, featuring Alex Hunter, exclusively on PS4, XB1 and PC — sorry, Switch fans.
The game arrives September 28 on basically every gaming device.
Also, to celebrate the World Cup, FIFA 18 will be available to play for free on PS4 during the length of the event.
