Treyarch is back with its newest Call of Duty game.
Black Ops 4 has been officially revealed, and will focus on a multiplayer experience. During today’s “Community Reveal” event, Activision showcased the big changes coming to the series’ latest entry, including the three main modes:
- Multiplayer
- Zombies
- Blackout
Multiplayer takes place between BlOps II & III, meaning that it’s not super far into the future and remove some of the crazy jumping and wall walking. It will focus instead on the Specialists classes and manual re-healing, and provide a team-based co-op experience.
Zombies is Zombies, but with more “stories” unlocked at launch — including one set on a cruise ship.
Finally, Blackout is CoD’s version of battle royale, adding vehicles and classic series characters into the mix.
It certainly seems as though single player storytelling may be taking a back seat in the game, as was rumored over the last couple of months.
The game will release on October 12, 2018 for PS4 & Xbox One, and exclusively on Battle.Net for PC.
