Nintendo is bringing back the World Championships event for 2017, just 2 years after the last one, and 27 years after the first.
The event will once again look to crown the top Nintendo fanatics (read: gamer) across a variety of games. With both 12 & under and 13 & over age categories, fans around the US have spent the last few weeks entering competitions at local sites to make their way to the finale in New York’s Manhattan Center Grand Ballroom.
Competitors made their way through games like Mario Kart to be selected for the grand final, which will include a variety of games (and perhaps some surprises) throughout the day. The NWC 2017 will be livestreamed on YouTube and Twitch, as well as on Nintendo’s website, starting at 2PM PDT/5PM Easter Time on Saturday, and hosted by What’s Good Games’s Andrea Rene.
