During a Direct tonight, Nintendo revealed their next mobile game, Animal Crossing Pocket Camp.
The app, which is a clear evolution of the franchise, merges the charm-filled “to do list” of the series with the monetized town building craze of the mobile world. The goal this time around is to build and furnish a camp site, take on mini quests for the campers, and spend that sweet sweet cash on in-app purchases. Score!
Pocket Camp lets players craft furniture, items and amenities, as well as travel around to various locations to collect crafting supplies through specific tasks. These can include things like catching certain fish for other campers or catching specific insects. Events will take place, limited items will debut and the scenery will change depending on time of day, season or holiday.
Players can customize both their characters and the camper van that they receive from the game’s OK Motors, so the opportunities to continue to soak our wallets with gasoline and set them ablaze are strong.
Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp arrives late November for iOS and Android, with a sign-up notification live on the game’s website.
