What is there left to say about Dragonball FighterZ? We loved it when we were at E3. We even gave it one of our “SideQuesting Best of E3 2017” awards.
When we played it at the event it felt right, and in true show fashion way over the top. And that’s how we want it! It felt like a mixture of Marvel vs Capcom‘s 3 vs 3 with the control style of BlazBlue. Now, if you have not played any BlazBlue or Guilty Gear, or any fighting games from Arc System Works, then you are missing one of my favorite control systems for a fighting game. I find it much better than Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat.
The art style captures the true feel of the Japanese Anime series, especially with the most recent release of the Dragonball Z Super Anime Series. The way the camera angle shifts downward when you about to uppercut your opponent into the air is just pure magic. I loved every moment playing this title.
During E3 they only introduced six characters: Goku, Young Gohan, Vegeta, Frieza, Perfect Cell and Majin Buu. Now during EVO 2017 in Las Vegas they introduced a new character to join the battle: the son of Vegeta.
That’s right! Trunks will be in the game! The very same Trunks that everyone loved when he first appeared in Dragonball Z and pretty much killed Frieza after he landed on Earth in attempt to destroy it!
Yet another fighter to add to the list of games that I want. Dragonball FighterZ arrives in 2018 for the PlayStation 4, XBox One and PC.
