This is going to be rare to say, but Ubisoft had one of their better Press Conference in recent history. Normally I would watch their presser and almost immediately start to do other things, but not this year.
You can sense something was different this year with the announcement of Mario + Rabbids. When I heard this announcement I was really skeptical having the Rabbids join Mario’s world and how that would all pan out. But at the presser a surprise guest appeared before everyone. It was Mario creator, Shigeru Miyamoto, walking on stage with one of the blaster weapons from the new title. This was huge, because when was the last time anyone saw Miyamoto on stage at E3 that was not behind closed doors? The more they talked about the game the more I was getting excited that we will be getting two Mario titles for the Switch this year.
As the presser went on they showcased more info on Assassin’s Creed Origins, Far Cry 5, Skull and Bones and many more. Hell I got excited when they played HyunA – Bubble Pop duringĀ Just Dance 2018. At the end, though, Ubisoft dropped a major bomb that many fans have been BEGGING for: a cinematic trailer for Beyond Good and Evil 2. The crowd went nuts. Twitter exploded. Grown men cried.
Literally started crying when the Beyond good and Evil theme snuck in at the end of that trailer. I can't believe this. So happy. #UbiE3

15 years in the making and Ubisoft did the fans some service with that trailer, and for the first time in a long time people have walked away from the Ubisoft presser extremely happy and with something to talk about.
