Coming as absolutely no surprise to anyone who’s turned on their computers or phones over the last few months, the new Assassin’s Creed game has been announced and it’s set in Egypt.
Ancient Egypt, to be specific. Assassin’s Creed: Origins is set during the time of pharaohs and kings, mysticism and gods. The game will chart the origins of the Brotherhood of Assassins, all the way back to the Nile. Pyramids and slaves, chariots and gladiator duels (YES!) fill out the world of Origins. Moreso, the trailer features how tied to mysticism the game will be. Players will be able to take control of an eagle to scout for enemies, and will face God-like giant snakes.
The game releases this Fall across Xbox One and Playstation 4 families of consoles, as well as PC.
