Atari and its CEO Fred Chesnais took to E3 week to reveal that the company is making a return to hardware.
The Ataribox will be the first gaming console for the company since 1995’s Atari Jaguar CD, if you don’t count the retro all-in-one consoles over the last decade. The device will be PC-based and will feature wood paneling and horizontal detail lines harkening back to Atari’s past consoles.
No further information is known at the moment, like power, capabilities or release timeframe, but the company is now fielding interest for careers and developers on its website, ataribox.com.
