Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski’s Witcher saga is coming back to the small screen, but in a different way.
The Witcher’s foray into non-gaming and non-written media (eight novels have been written) was originally meant to be a film released in 2017, but that seems to have morphed over the years. Now, Netflix have picked up the rights and announced a partnership to bring the saga to series.
Partnering with the Sean Daniel Company to produce the show, Sapkowski will remain as creative consultant. The Witcher saga was the inspiration for the massively popular games, so the adaptation will likely lie there instead of what we played on our Playstations and Xboxes. No date has been given for the show’s release.
The big question remains: who will play Geralt?
