Call of Duty: WWII to have single player and zombie co-op campaigns

As teased last week, we now have our next Call of Duty in full-ish reveal mode.

Call of Duty: WWII launches this Fall, November 3, for PS4, PC and Xbox One. Set during the “theater of World War II” the game will put players in “boots on the ground” (editor’s note: ugh). The single player campaign will focus more on the storytelling that made early CoD games enjoyable, and an expanded Nazi Zombies mode will have its own co-op campaign.

Developed by Sledgehammer Games, this is the first CoD to go back to World War II since Treyarch’s World at War (Call of Duty 5). All three major Call of Duty developers have now had their turn at developing a WWII-era game, so it’ll be interesting to compare the different takes on the period.

Competitive multiplayer information isn’t known much yet, but a Beta will launch later this year for those who preorder the game, starting with PS4.
