Have you ever thought, “hey, these controllers are basically all the same, why do I need so many?” The easy answer is that product developers love money, so it’s not like they’d want you using the OG PS1 controller on your PS4 instead of the DualShock 4. But, cross-compatibility has worked in the past (didn’t we all own that dongle that let us use a Dual Shock 2 on our Gamecube any ways?) and it can again.
Developer Digital Depth has come up with a console-agnostic gamepad that may very well clean up our coffee tables.
The “ALL Controller” allows cross compatibility with PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, iOS and Android (no Switch listing yet) thanks to its smart use of Bluetooth and wireless technologies, as well as a driver interface. Featuring an LCD screen and the ability to program macros, the controller can pair with a variety of devices as far back as even older Windows machines and has a 40 hour battery life.
