Trauma Center was a nice, niche little series that appeared on Nintendo’s DS and Wii. Published by Atlus, it was a touch- & motion-enhanced series set in the future that starred a group of doctors as they underwent an often bizarre series of surgeries and stories. Think of it like Grey’s Anatomy with a dash of sci-fi and government conspiracies. Thankfully, the controls were pretty good and the games enjoyable, spawning several sequels.
And apparently a live-action TV show.
The show, Trauma Team, was to be a weekly series that starred four doctors doing secret surgeries nobody else could handle. Or, wanted to handle. Developed by Instavision and Fat Dragon Films, the show never survived past the pilot episode, and for good reason: it’s horrible.
Really, there isn’t much to say about the pilot other than it was poorly produced, poorly scripted and never saw the light of day.
Perhaps this is one series that was better off not surviving the operation table.
