At today’s Sony PlayStation Experience 2016 press conference, the company took the stage to officially announced the long-rumored sequel to The Last of Us.
Titled The Last of Us Part II, the story looks to directly pick up the plot from the first game. The debut teaser trailer shows us Ellie, now seemingly older, hauntingly playing a guitar while Joel walks into the room.
Beyond that trailer, developer Naughty Dog isn’t saying much apart from the game being in the “early stages” of development, and a release date not even ready to be circled. With Uncharted 4‘s main plot completed and out the door earlier this year, the majority of the team can shift their focus to the next installment in the post-apocalyptic drama.
