Well, here’s one from long range.
Much like the early Wii days, virtual reality is getting its fair share of mini games and sports-turned-motion experiences. We already have golf and billiards (somehow), and now comes basketball.
The NBA 2KVR Experience is a bite size rendition of shootin’ hoops. Set in [your favorite arena], you can put on the [branded] shoes you love to wear and the jersey of [favorite player] as you step up to the line to play for [your favorite team]. Three point shootouts are there, time attacks, and trick shots that bounce across hundreds of feet of space. It’s just like the real thing!
We can expect a lot of these kinds of quick turn-around VR things as developers try to figure out what to create and try to capitalize on the early adopters.
NBA 2KVR Experience is available today on PSN for PSVR, HTC Vive and Samsug’s Gear VR, but I’m holding out for the slam dunk DLC.
