Nintendo has finally given us a date for its upcoming first real iOS game.
In a press release today, the company announced that Super Mario Run will be launched worldwide (151 countries) on December 15th, 2016, for $9.99. That’s just in time for Christmas, and just in time for people to get worn out on the NES Classic (if they ever get one).
The game free running game will hit Apple’s App Store as a free download, giving players a small amount of game to consumer. Anything after that, including access to all three modes and features, will require an in-app payment of $9.99. While that puts the price in one of the higher gaming tiers on the store, it is relatively cheaper than any other newer Mario game.
