The PlayStation Experience is back for a third year. Sony’s annual giant fan event celebrating the PlayStation brand will take place this year at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California on December 3 & 4.
With PSVR, the PlayStation 4 “Slim” and the PlayStation 4 Pro all launching this year, there’s plenty of gaming to experience at the event. Last year’s PSX in San Francisco was a joy for me to personally attend, as I got my hands on upcoming indie games and AAA titles, Virtual Reality, and attended some parties, panels and concerts. It looks like it will be more of the same this year, too.
The whole shebang begins December 3 at 10AM with the PlayStation Showcase, a sort of kick-off press conference where we can expect a few announcements about new and upcoming games and products. The Capcom Cup Finals will take place at 6PM that day as well. A full schedule will be revealed closer to the sate, but just know that the expo runs from 10AM – 10PM on Dec 3, and 10AM – 6PM on Dec 4.
Tickets range from $45 (Sat)/$40 (Sun) individual tickets, to $60 (before Oct 16)/$75 (Oct 16 & after). That gives you a couple of weeks to decide if this event is for you. Hint: it is. One of the nice advantages of registering online with the event ahead of time is the amount of freebies that are given out to PSN members, including full games, beta access, themes, music, and more.
