I remember when Mega Man Legends 3 was announced for the 3DS. I had never played the first two, but the hype and happiness surrounding the announcement of the sequel made me seek out the predecessors. Yep, they’re pretty good games. The news impacted the purchasing of the 3DS in positive ways.
When the game was cancelled soon after the departure of Keiji Inafune from Capcom, it was soul crushing for hundreds of thousands of fans. It probably impacted the 3DS’ sales in the opposite ways.
Now, after several years of digging, production team Get Me Off OF The Moon have put together a documentary about the game’s development and subsequent failure thereof. Give it a watch above and weep, and pray that one day Capcom remembers the Blue Bomber for his greatness beyond the occasional bad iOS port.
