Futurama’s Zapp Brannigan returns to quote Donald Trump

This is not video game related. This is barely geek related. But hell, this is pretty freaking awesome nonetheless. Billy West, the voice of Futurama‘s Zapp Brannigan, has decided to quote Republican Presidential Nominee Donald Trump’s tweets in the character’s iconic voice.

Futurama was one of the most groundbreaking animated shows ever to grace television, and holds a special place in creator Matt Groening’s (The Simpsons) heart. To this day we manage to sneak Futurama quotes into our articles and daily life, and find ourselves binge-watching it on Netflix on weekends.

So, when Billy West decided to come back with new(ish) material for one of the series’ most popular characters, we definitely took notice. West chose Mr Trump’s tweets as they seemed to line up perfectly with the character’s voice and inflections. Brannigan’s not-so-subtle sexual undertones come off especially creepy with Trump’s material. He’s been posting them regularly to his own Twitter feed under the #MakeAmericaBrannigan hashtag and they’re priceless.
