[E3 2016] Persona 5 (FINALLY) arriving February 14, 2017 with glorious special editions

Though it was officially announced nearly 2 years ago, and for an initial 2015 Japanese release date, we now know that Persona 5 is FINALLY scheduled to arrive here in the West on February 14, 2017 for both Playstation 3 and Playstation 4. Yes, Valentine’s Day. So your heart can be ripped out.

But wait, that’s not the part that we’re excited about. The game will be arriving with TWO special editions for the PS4.

The SteelBook Launch Edition will be what you get if you pre-order the game ahead of time (and a few in store, if you’re lucky). It’s essentially the game in a nice metal box, and looks good on a shelf crammed next to whatever Naruto game you’re playing.

The “Take Your Heart” Premium Edition is what really stands out, though. At $89.99 (or $71.99 if you’re a Prime or GCU member), the limited edition comes with a soundtrack CD, a 4″ Morgana plush, a hardcover art book, a neat duffle/school bag, the aforementioned steelbook and a NICE BIG BOX, which is a bullet point in the announcement’s press release.

Here’s the show direct from Best Buy’s listing:

Now that we have a real launch date, we can finally start counting down actual days.
