Dark Souls IIIĀ was only formally released in Europe and North America earlier this week, but many Souls fans have already barreled through it’s content and are taking to forums speculating to the nature and release of new content. Unfortunately for them, the wait is going to be longer than originally expected.
Souls publisher Bandai Namco has confirmed via a statement to VideoGamer that the first add-on for Dark Souls III will be coming in the fall of this year. Details are scarce, which makes sense considering the game launched less than a week ago, but we can expect to see a title and hints to the nature of the add-on in the coming months.
Whatever this first DLC add-on ends up being, it’ll only be half of what From Software plans to bring to Dark Souls III. Back in February, the developer announced plans for two add-ons. Considering this entry is intended to be the end of the Souls series, here’s hoping they go big to end things on a high note.
