Gamescom: Crackdown 3 reveals a massive city in latest trailer [Video]

We were hoping for a Crackdown 3 announcement at Gamescom and we got it. Developer Reagent Games lifted the veil on the latest trailer for the game, which puts us in the shoes of an Agent of Justice as we use our super powers to bring down a criminal empire.

It’s always a criminal empire.

Set in a completely new city, Crackdown 3 will feature 100% destructible environments and, using Microsoft’s Xbox cloud technology, will allow for the city to essentially be completely leveled. The question I have is “will the game need to be online all the time to accomplish this?” The word hasn’t been given yet on that aspect, but “cloud” usually means “yes”, in some respects.

Players will be able to travel around the entire city during the campaign, play co-op, or engage in multiplayer mayhem. Hey, it’s more Crackdown, and that’s pretty alright with us.

The game arrives in 2016 for Xbox One.
