Early Access continues to come to consoles in unique ways. Nintendo just announced their sort-of take on it, and now Microsoft is bringing their version to the Xbox One.
Similar to Steam’s Early Access implementation, the company will let gamers sign up for the preview program, allowing them to play games that are still in development. Gamers will be able to download free early rev demos to play, with the ability to pre-purchase the full version ahead of time and help guide development.
The first few games announced are The Long Dark, Sheltered, Elite Dangerous, and DayZ. Alongside DayZ, Bohemia Interactive will debut their new game Ion for the program.
Xbox Game Preview launches later this year.
