In the Nintedo Direct on April 1st, Nintendo shared that Mario Kart 8’s second set of downloadable content would be released earlier on April 23rd and showed some footage of the Animal Crossing inspired stage, characters and vehicles that would be featured in it. Nintendo did not however show anything regarding Dry Bones Boswer or the other 7 tracks and 2 vehicles that will be coming out along with the Animal Crossing content.
Fans need not wait till the 23rd to get a look at this additional content thanks to Nintendo uploading a trailer featuring everything in the 2nd pack to their Japanese YouTube channel.
The content will feature remakes of the classic Mario Kart levels Cheese Land and Ribbon Road from Mario Kart Advanced, Neo Bowser City from Mario Kart 7, Baby Park from Mario Kart Double Dash!! and Big Blue from the F-Zero series. Two entirely new courses are also included in the form of a busy metro station named Lingling Metro and a trip through the forest in Nature Road. Players will also get to race in a new super car inspired Kart and a sports bike inspired by Bowser. A trailer for everything included in Mario Kart 8’s 2nd DLC pack can be found above and a more detailed video for each track can be found bellow. The DLC will be available on April 23rd, a free update will also be release that day which will include support for more Mii outfit Amiibo support and a 200cc speed class.
